Do not grieve over mistakes committed, not all of us may have tasted success in one go; But shall try to learn from our mistakes and correct them; Failures are stepping stones to success; Thus 2.Action - Wrong when refined or fine tuned paves way for 1.Action - Right; But 3.Inaction? Doing nothing or staying grounded, not having made any headway; we become Non performing Assets. We lose interest and our confidence gets eroded; The faith that others have in us weans away. Therefore do not be a non-starter, not throwing yourself in the ring fearing losses or failures that may hit you; instead make small yet confident moves, the result may be averse, but do not lose hope. You have then moved from 3.Inaction to 2.Action - Wrong & are not very far away from your target/goal of 1.Action - Right.

Ego2Go

You create a comfort zone around you called Ego and look upon the world from this perspective. Ego confines you to a smaller circle, you are scared to tread past the circle, fear of facing the world, fear of failing; Ego is being shy and not wanting to talk with people around you. Ego is fear of what others might think of you. Ego is taking the credit when it does not belong to you or going wild when somebody else takes credit. Ego is thinking nobody else can do better than you. Ego is an inability to admit when you really need help; Ego is not forgiving(though wrong) because you feel your actions are justified; Ego triggers your anger and you dont feel sorry for it; Ego is having to be in control of everything; For Ego2go, what do you do? Turn a new Leaf; Do not wait any longer - Start now. When you are wrong, cultivate the habit to accept it; Stop blaming others for your losses in life & do not look around for scapegoats to shift the blame onto - instead blame yourself; Do not look for changes in the world around you, rather try to bring changes within you for the world to change around you. Pull you out of your comfort zone where you have been cosily confined to for long; Be open to ideas, share your thoughts and ACT. Be accountable for your actions and may your actions be transparent. May others around you see the newer YOU.

Do not ASSUME things

How do you unfurl newer ventures? Go one step at a time; Experiment & try to correct yourself; Without throwing yourself in the ring, if you ASSUME things, u may only hesitate to inch forward and may become clueless & get stranded at the same place where you are currently in; Likewise, how do you handle problems? Give thoughtful consideration when problems are encountered, try to table the root cause of the problem collecting & ascertaining facts from proper channels; Delete the IF & BUT clause, instead the facts collected should speak for themselves & we shall not burden us unnecessarily causing anguish, anxiety & distress; Let us not ASSUME things or give our ear to gossips or tidbits of rumour; Assuming things lead us nowhere, only piles up our nightmares and makes matters worse. Assumptions we make reflects the state of our mind. May we stay positive & stop assuming things.

Silence & SMILE, two effective means of communication

Silence pays. While you know something and realize the same is the topic of discussion, you dont have to voluntarily boast of your knowledge about the thing unless called for or draw other's attention by talking aloud, unknowinly raising your voice, thumping with excitement; Likewise when a heated argument emerges, it is better to stay silent than trying to make the other person see reason; instead stay calm and composed. No wonder the saying goes 'Empty vessels make more noise'; the tolerant, matured, wise and balanced person maintains his cool and does not vent out his emotions. Such a person is more successful in better handling of issues and wins trust and confidence of others as well. Smile. no wry or sarcastic, but a pleasing one that you are genuinely interested in the other person; you are remembered in the longer run for your pleasing qualities.

ATTACHED you are, Miseries galore

Do not get glued to something midway, in the guise of being attracted by it; You may not reach your destination then or may take time to attain your goal. Agree, attached you are, even the finer details are not missed out, you take appropriate care in nurturing your newfound desire; but shall learn to draw the detachment line also; Otherwise you may not be able to proceed further and may be glued to the position where you are in. Misery creeps in the moment you are not able to draw the line. Do not narrow your vision refusing to move on, instead, have a broader view and look at the bigger picture.

Why not me?

Why me? - We are blamed and singled out when something goes amiss/wrong, be it in our workplace or at home; we curse our luck and subject our pains and miseries bestowed on us as curse of god to offset the misgivings of our previous birth or as destiny that cant be changed and end up saying why me? and why not somebody else?. Instead Ask yourself - why not me? the problem that one encounters may have been showered on Him who possesses qualities to handle them; who has patience to outwit them and look beyond. In the process, he/she is able to learn lots about life and is able to refine him/her to be an better person; thus problems break away and lose steam to those who ask - Why not me?

Do not REACT, but ACT upon

Do not get carried away by something that is being told to you; do not express anguish or anger immediately;do not REACT instantly, but ACT upon, instead. Take your own time to analyze options available with you before you draw conclusions on the same. Scroll through the information stored in your mind about the topic discussed, ask yourself if what being told to you is right and then take sides. While you do not react and only act upon, chances are you may not foulmouth about anybody or indulge in angry outbursts; and hasty decisions or conclusions drawn at the spur of the moment are avoided too.

EFFORT, the extra mile makes a big difference

All of us make sincere effort to achieve our targets; and realize quite often that things stop short of targets; Or find the results not very satisfactory; the answer lies in making an extra effort for the same result; You may brisk walk around your nearby park covering 6 kms every day in 50 minutes and may have lost 1,2 kgs in the process and not beyond that for the sincere effort put in; Now, make an extra effort trying to cover the same distance in 40 minutes & feel the difference; you are sure to achieve your desired result. Apply the same principle in your place of work; Stretch by a mile the boundaries that you have set for yourself as your comfort levels and you are sure to achieve success in leaps and bounds.

Stave off CRITICISM and look beyond

Do not forget that unjust criticism is often a compliment in disguise. Every opinion is valid, nobody is right and it is o.k for people to disagree with our ideas, kinda gets you off the hook? Or take a look at it and see what you can learn, there may be something incredibly useful to correct yourself; It may help you better your performances; Criticism thus makes you grow stronger. Learn to take criticism and praises evenly.

Do not let worry take over you; instead ask yourself what is the worst that can possibly happen & prepare mentally to accept the worst; then try harder to improve on the worst; Decide how much anxiety a thing may be worth and refuse to give it more. Remind yourself of the heavy price you may have to pay for worry in terms of your health. Learn to co-operate with the inevitable; do not fuse over trifles & use the law of averages to outlaw your worries. Keep your mind occupied at all times to keep your worries at bay.

Be it a Gym workout or Diet workout, give some time frame, say 30/60/90 days & do not decide to end the same abruptly. Your decision to end abruptly may have been the cause for not achieving the desired result; instead be regular in what ever you have started and on any given opportunity do not discontinue, but try to make the same a habit to achieve your goal. This attitude helps you to stay on course for a longer period than giving in meekly when you confront difficult times in the course of your life.

BLAME none
